Steven Charles EDWARDS 1955 - 2024 SHS 1974

In Loving Memory of Steven Charles Edwards

Steven Charles Edwards, 69, passed away on June 16, 2024 at his home in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Steven was born on May 7, 1955, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dr. Robert Edwards and Jean Edwards, and grew up in Sheridan Wyoming.

An outstanding multi-sport athlete and graduate of Sheridan High School, Steve went on to study at Sheridan Community College and the University of Wyoming where he majored in geology - with a healthy side focus on downhill skiing. Steve was a passionate outdoorsman who inspired and touched the lives of many.

He had an unwavering love for fly fishing, snowboarding, skiing, camping, windsurfing, golf, paragliding, rock climbing in the Big Horn Mountains and across the west, and travel. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and sense of humor brightened every room he entered. Steve was not only our brother, but he was a true friend and mentor to many. Steve was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was an avid reader, lover of good music, legendary storyteller, and loved to share tales of his many adventures.

Steve is survived by his sister Claudia Edwards-Houser of East Leroy, MI, sister Elizabeth Quinn of Port Townsend WA, brother Nathan Edwards of Las Vegas NV, brother Robert Edwards of Sheridan WY, and brother-in-law Marv Billings of Lingle, WY. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews, five grand nieces and nephews, and his lifelong special friend Doris Moeller of Sheridan, WY.

He is preceded in death by his father Dr. Robert Edwards, mother Jean Edwards, and sister Deborah Billings.

A celebration of life will happen in the summer of 2025 in the Big Horn Mountains. More information to follow closer to the date.

We will forever cherish the memories we all created together as family and friends. May he rest in peace, surrounded by love, light - and a good trout stream.
