October 5, 1951 - August 28, 2024

TG (Thomas Gregory) Sawyer was born in Laramie, Wyoming, on October 5, 1951, and grew up in Sheridan, WY. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1971 and enlisted in the Navy immediately after, serving honorably during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, TG earned a BA in Education from Eastern Montana College, now MSU at Billings. He worked for many years in the family business before pursuing his passion by establishing his own horticultural business, which he ran until his retirement. TG had a deep love for history and was an avid reader who could recall countless historical events with ease. He was also a gifted storyteller, captivating those around him with his tales.

TG’s green thumb, inherited from his mother, allowed him to grow anything he touched. In his earlier years, he enjoyed sketching and developed a talent for creating decorative plant arrangements

in his later life, filling his apartment with his unique creations. Above all, TG cherished his canine companions, who were like family to him. His beloved dog, Annie, was his constant companion, and they were always seen togetherâ€"often leaving people to wonder who was truly in charge, Annie or TG. His bond with Annie and his love for his plants were central to his life, leaving a lasting legacy for those who knew him.

He is survived by his sister Dana Wyatt and brother Randy Sawyer of Sheridan. Many nieces, a nephew, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Loeva Sawyer, his father Thomas Sawyer, and his brother Michael Sawyer.
