Tammy Lee SARRATT Green 1952 - 2024 SHS 1970

August 28, 1952 - December 1, 2024.

Tamy Lee Green, 72, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, peacefully with family and friends by her side.

Tamy was born to Charles Sarratt and Esther Laney Reynolds in Sheridan. She graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Sheridan College.

On April 28, 1973, she married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Green. Tamy was a stay-at-home parent while her children were at school. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with her husband and children and playing cards with her friends. She loved to bowl, was a Girl Scout leader for several years, and volunteered her time in the school’s. Later in life she loved riding her motorcycle with friends, being in the mountains, and going to the Sturges Motorcycle Rally. She volunteered at the Food Group in packing food bags for children in need.

Tamy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Hirsch (Jeremiah), her grandson, Colton Hirsch of Fort Wayne, IN, brothers Lonnie (Lydia) Sarratt, Beaumont, CA, William (Karla) Reynolds of Helena, MT, Danny (Apple) O’Quinn of Beulah, ND, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Green, son, Darby Green, parents, sister Kimberly Murillo, and brother Gerald Hockett.

Tamy lost her husband, Dennis, and only son, Darby, to suicide.

After the deaths of Dennis and Darby, Tamy neglected her own mental and physical health needs.

Michelle wants those reading this or who are aware of the Green family’s journey to ask for help if you or a loved one are having thoughts of suicide, please seek help by calling 988, going to the nearest ER, or going to Northern Wyoming Mental Health. Additionally, the Sheridan Police Department Officers have specialized training (CIT) when working with mental health needs. Suicide and mental health are something to talk about and normalize. Know you are not alone.

A Celebration of Life will be in July 2025. Additional information will be provided at a later date.
