Boise, Idaho - Robert Bruce Finney was born at Boise, Idaho to Dr. Robert Finney and Nita Finney. He graduated from Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1965.
He started college but was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in a combat unit in Vietnam. After discharge, he finished college, graduating from the University of Puget Sound, after which he entered Marine Corps Officers Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. After being commissioned as a second lieutenant, he served at many duty stations, including service in Operation Desert Storm. After retiring as a major in 1992, he moved to Boise where he served in several civic functions and as commandant of the Idaho Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was an accomplished photographer and served in the photography booth of the Idaho State Fair for many years.
He had many good friends from all over the world and will be missed by his friends and family.
