Former Sheridan resident Bill Sare, 57, died Friday in Billings, Mont., where he had resided recently.
Born Oct 2, 1928, in Sheridan, he graduated from Sheridan High School in 1946 and worked 18 years as a bookkeeper for jersey Creamery. He also worked several years as auditor and collector for the state of Wyoming.
A musician with many local swing bands, he was a member of United Methodist Church, the Elks and Masonic Lodges, and the Quarterback Club.
Survivors include his mother, Helen O. Sare, Sheridan; a son, Curt Sare, Port Charlotte, Fla.; a daughter, Kimberly Dart, Sheridan; a brother, Keith Sare, Lodi, Calif.,; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, the Rev. Kenneth Rice officiating. Friends may call at Henne Funeral Home until time of services.
Memorial may benefit United Methodist Church or donor’s choice.
